Gold: Labour Day and Rising!
Print This Post
| Topic: Gold — September 14th, 2007
“Take advantage of the fog and relieve some of the ditherers of their quality gold stocks while these prices last.”
This is what we said on the 31st August 2007 in an article entitled: ‘Gold prices after Labor Day.’
At that time the HUI was trading at around the 320 levels and here we are on the 14th September 2007 and the HUI is trading at 370 showing a gain of 50 points or 15.6%.
We have been advocating taking a position in gold stocks for some time, as regular readers will be aware so we hope that you have found at least a small place for gold and silver stocks in your portfolio.
Should the gap close between the HUI and Gold at the same time as the price of gold rises then the price of gold stocks would be catapulted much higher than they are today. And when the eventual blow off comes, who knows!
The above is what we wrote in an article entitled: ‘Gold Stocks: Oversold’ on the 22nd August 2007, when all the indicators of $Gold versus $HUI were on the floor.
We have also recommended a number of gold stocks and silver stocks and even some uranium’s! So we hope you took advantage of the silly season prices.
Gold is $713.70 as we write and at long last is starting to push the boat out. Stay tuned this is only the beginning.
We apologise for not answering all of your emails especially the ones regarding gold futures and gold options, as we tend to concentrate on buying stocks. On the subject of silver futures we do have a spread bet running on our silver site but this is not for serious money, it’s just for fun, but we do play to win!
