A number of our readership have asked where they can access the charts that we use when trading options, so here it is.

The chart shown recently regarding Agnico-Eagle can be found at Etrade, just follow these steps:

1. Etrade.com

2. Products and Services

3. Options

4. Now enter the symbol of the company you are researching, for instance, Agnico-Eagle is AEM. You should now see a screen with the trading data of the Agnico-Eagle stock with some of the options data listed below it.

5. Select the month that you are interested in, or select all of them.

6. In this case select the series called JAN 09 with a strike price of $55.00, which is AEMAK.

7. Click on AEMAK and you should see the chart of this particular option along with its associated data, such as the open interest, days to go etc.

Use the same procedure when you think that a stock is about to fall and you wish to buy PUTS.

Be warned, options are volatile and are definitely not for the inexperienced trader or those with a weak stomach.
